Role Description The Physiotherapist will provide on-site, full-time therapeutic services to children with autism and special needs at our Lucknow center. Responsibilities include assessing motor, sensory, and functional abilities; developing individualized physiotherapy plans; and conducting regular therapy sessions to improve strength, coordination, balance, posture, and mobility. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team (including ABA therapists, speech and occupational therapists, and educators) to integrate physiotherapy goals into each child’s overall intervention plan. The Physiotherapist will educate and guide families on home-based exercises, use of assistive devices, and strategies to support functional independence. Additional duties include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, monitoring progress, and participating in team meetings, parent consultations, and training sessions as needed.
Qualifications
- Relevant educational background, such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
- Licensure or registration as a Physiotherapist, in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with children, preferably in pediatric physiotherapy, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism, or special needs settings.
- Strong skills in physical assessment, treatment planning, and delivering evidence-based physiotherapy interventions for motor and functional development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and coordinate care with therapists, educators, and healthcare professionals.
- Clear, empathetic communication skills for working with children and families, including the ability to explain therapy plans and home exercises in accessible language.
- Capacity to maintain detailed, accurate clinical records and monitor outcomes to adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to inclusive, child-centered care.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and training in autism, neurodiversity, and specialized pediatric interventions.
